I’m contributing occasional artwork to the Beesley Project, a yearlong exploration of the LDS hymnbook (doctrinal/lyrical analysis, etc.). This piece accompanied Jen Bosen’s essay.

I’m pretty sure this is the weirdest illustration I’ve done so far, both in content and in style.
After a far-too-long hiatus from hand-drawn illustrations, I’m back. This one was fun.
For a while I’ve wanted to do a series of pieces based on the LDS hymns, because it’s been a long while since my circle series. I’ve also been itching to do some illustrations in Blender with a sort of paper cutout aesthetic.
I ended up deciding to combine them into a single series. The first piece:
