About the book

Kinder- und Hausmärchen (Auflage 1812/15) is a reader’s edition of the original German fairy tales collected by the Brothers Grimm. This edition is based on the Wikisource text of the first edition, published in 1812 and 1815 in two volumes. Footnotes and endnotes have been discarded, along with most of the frontmatter. If you spot any typos, please let me know.

Update (18 March 2015): I’m not sure why I discarded the frontmatter, footnotes, and endnotes. Eventually I plan to rerelease this with them added back in.
