What I’m doing now

Reading

Still aiming to read at least 100 pages per day, with varying levels of success. In more of a nonfiction mood lately. Lately I’ve had several low-energy periods where reading is about all I do.

Writing

Nonfiction: Blogging as usual. Also slowly writing some essays on creativity which I plan to eventually self-publish as a book.

Fiction: Working on a novella. Currently not spending much time on it, though. (Encountering a fair amount of Resistance, and guess who’s winning.)

Art

Continuing to make symbolic religious art. I feel like I’ve lately fallen into a bit of a rut, though, so I’ve been experimenting with some new styles in the hope of finding a new path forward.

I also want to start making other kinds of art, like I used to. Still not sure yet if that’ll be fine art or little illustrations or what. Also running into Resistance here.

Design/typesetting

Working on some more parallel language editions of the scriptures. Also working on a script to programmatically typeset index cards, and a playful typeface for typesetting picture books.

Coding

Mostly on hold, other than the aforementioned scripts and doing frontend engineering by day at Planet. Hoping to start work soon on Lector, the ebook reader PWA that I expect to use for my reading going forward.
