“Council of War,” a new illustration. Painted in Brushes on my iPad.
“Reading Day,” a new illustration. Drawn in Inkpad and textured in Brushes, all on my iPad.
“Oblivious,” a new illustration drawn and painted in Brushes on my iPhone, then textured in Photoshop.
Lately I’ve been making some of my own Photoshop brushes to use in my painting and design work, and while creating brushes digitally is all well and good, I wanted to get something analog. So, last night I spent some time making ink blots and watercolor splotches, which I then scanned and converted to Photoshop brushes. Very fun. They’re not high-res, though, since the scanner at work only goes up to 300 dpi. Oh well.
You can download them on my brushes page.
A new illustration, “Hide and Seek,” painted in Brushes on my iPhone:
Painting at a pixel level like this is harder but really fun.
