A month ago I posted about axing all my side projects. I'm having second thoughts.
My sense of time apparently has some kind of terminal illness; I was sure it had only been a day or two since I last posted here.
I went to the BYU Writing & Illustrating for Young Readers Workshop last week -- five full days of writing awesomeness.
I write sporadically, in occasional bursts and drips. And I hope that that sentence will quickly become false. :)
This past Friday/Saturday I went to CONduit, a science fiction and fantasy convention up in Salt Lake at the Radisson Hotel.
It's been a little too long since I posted any of my fiction here, I think. Here's the first scene from my YA fantasy novel-in-progress.
Reading Cory Doctorow's "Extreme Geek" article on Locus got me thinking about my own writing tools.
I haven't been a very good blogger lately. Things keep coming up and most of my blogging energy goes into Twitter, but I'm going to do better from now on.
For those of you in the area, we've got our first Bad Play Project show tonight. I wrote one of the plays ("Crime & Punishment & Teletubbies: The Musical") and am directing another one ("Waiting for Godot Baggins").
It's not about the numbers, I know, but I often feel like I want to do everything and be everything, swallowing the universe down whole so I can really truly live it.
