Sorry about the “You must be logged in to post a comment” thing — I have no idea how it happened, but that setting in WordPress somehow decided to turn itself on without telling me. I’ve turned it off and you can now leave comments again. Ãœber-weird. Sorry about that.

I’ll have more posts coming soon, by the way. The every-other-day goal has been steamrolled over by a number of other things that have come up, and this week will be just as busy (getting the next issue of my magazine out), but I’ll have a post about CONduit up soon, along with reviews of City of Bones and The War of Art and a cool new iPhone book reader app, Eucalyptus. (Telling you all this is called public accountability. It helps me get stuff done. :P)

Remember how I couldn’t log in to my WordPress admin page in Firefox on Windows, only Internet Explorer? (And even then the Tiger-like admin interface didn’t show up.) Well, Firefox here on my Mac works fine. As does Safari. Yet another reason not to use Windows if I can help it. ;)

Using this Dell keyboard with OS X was getting a little frustrating, since I kept hitting the wrong keys (Command was the Windows key, etc.). Then I found a way to switch the keys so they’re where they should be:

Go to System Preferences

Click on Keyboard & Mouse (it’s under Hardware)

Make sure you’re on the Keyboard tab

Click on the Modifier Keys… button

Change the Option Key to map to the Command key

Change the Command Key to map to the Option key

Click OK and enjoy!

Hmm, for some really weird reason, whenever I try to log in as the admin on this blog (not the other ones) in Firefox, it gives me a “Wrong username” error. And yet I can log in on Internet Explorer. That’s sad (and wrong :)). It may just be a bug in this particular version of WordPress (2.0.2). I reset the password, but to no avail. There was one moment where I actually did log in, but when I tried it again, the error returned. ~sigh~ I also deleted the wp-content/cache directory, again without result. There’s a thread on the WordPress forum about this, but without any resolution.
