A few days ago I found myself missing London for the first time since my trip.
I've realized that if I try to keep writing these mammoth posts, I'm never actually going to finish.
Even with going to bed early, I spent the first hours of the night in hell. Not literally, of course, but you know that awful, icky feeling when you're asleep but not...
I'm a big fan of the Sabbath. After six days of working away on my day job and the various projects that keep me busy, I'm more than happy to take a break.
When I woke up at 7:30, the two beds in the outer room had splayed bodies on them. Luckily the bodies were still alive, and my heart was set at ease.
As our plane prepared to land, I began to doubt the wisdom of getting only an hour of sleep on the flight, but it was too late to do anything about it.
Note: I'm dashing these out as quickly as I can, because I know that if I try to polish them, it'll be next year before you read about them.
I'm back! After eight days in England (six in London, one in Cambridge, and one in Oxford) and a day in Paris, I'm safely home once more.
I leave for London early tomorrow morning. I am excited beyond words. (Almost literally.) (Actually, no, I don't think I'm capable of being speechless -- I talk too much.)
Getting ready for London (I leave Thursday morning), combined with everything else going on, is taking up a lot of my time -- thus the blog silence for the last while.
