My presentation today on Received Pronunciation was received rather well. (Yes, pun intended. ~sigh~ ;)) I’m mostly proud of the uncluttered slide design — rather than weigh the slides down with dozens of bullet points, I went clean and simple. I also used Photoshop for every slide so I could control the typography (Powerpoint doesn’t let you do tracking, and its antialiasing is virtually nonexistent). Here are a few of my favorite slides:

After the presentation, some of my friends in the class said that it was easier to remember the information because 1) the slides were simpler and 2) the images in each slide gave them a tag by which they could remember what the slide was about.
Oh, Powerpoint has a nice feature (at least on the Mac) where you can save your presentation as a Quicktime movie. I did that and put it on my iPod without any problems at all. Very nice.
You know, this presentation-making thing is kind of addicting. :)
