The rather difficult font game

Came across The Rather Difficult Font Game and gave it a whirl. And I somehow scored 31 out of 34, which I didn’t expect, but it made me happy.

I love fonts. :)

Speaking of which, I’m thinking of biting the bullet and buying Sabon. Fonts seem so expensive, but I guess that’s just the way things are.

One of these days I need to start designing my own, probably with FontForge for starters.

If you like fonts and you like the web, be sure to check out The Elements of Typographic Style Applied to the Web (Bringhurst on the web, basically).

Do you design them as well?

Ben – just for fun I took the test too, and I was surprised that I got 23 correct, placing at an astounding 156th! But you’re right, that was a very hard test.

Ali: Mmm, yes, it is. :)

e: Getting there. :) Nothing quite yet, other than a few pixel fonts back in my days as a DOS game designer, but hopefully I’ll have something to show in the relatively near future.

James: 23 out of 34 isn’t bad at all — congrats! :)
