Change in the wind

Last week I interviewed for a new job as a web designer at the Harold B. Lee Library, and this afternoon I found out that I got it! :) I start work in two weeks. And I’m excited. (I’ll be part of the team that works on the library websites. And I’ll know more once I actually start. :))

(Since my current supervisors happen to read my blog, the following is for their benefit: Hey Gordon, hey Cory! I’ll miss Special Collections a lot. And I’m not just saying that because everyone is reading this. :P I’ve enjoyed my time there and have learned a lot, and a part of my heart will always be there. I’m not sure which artery that’ll be, though… ;))

Anyway, this new job feels like the right thing to do at this time. Change always feels a little weird — I’ve been at Special Collections for a solid year now — but what has to happen has to happen. Here we go on a brand-new adventure…

Congratulations! Does this mean that we can send you suggestions (aka commands) for the websites? Hooray!

Zillah: LOL, thanks! Yes, you may. I don’t know yet how much influence I’ll have, but send whatever feedback you want my way. :)

Katherine: Thanks!
