I’m more frustrated with Lulu. ~sigh~ Apparently you can’t track book sales if you don’t have a creator revenue set (i.e., if you’re selling the books at cost). You can see how many have been sold total, but there’s no breakground. Bah.
So, I’ve had to set a one or two cent creator revenue (which ends up being 19 or 20 cents for Lulu) so I can track how many of each book are sold. I’d rather not, but oh well.
Also, it automatically sets the price of the PDF download if you set a creator revenue, so I’ve disabled the PDFs, since it’s pointless to have them for download for 20 cents from Lulu when I offer them for free on my own site.
The other thing that’s bothered me about Lulu is their horrifically ugly website. The user experience is mostly pathetic, too. I’d ditch them in an instant if I could get my books published elsewhere at the same cost (or less).
Blurb, on the other hand, has a much nicer website, but they only do photobookish things. If only Blurb would expand and offer more book types — 6×9″ black and white on creme paper with matte cover, for instance… :)
