One book down

It is finished.

I made my changes, proofed it one last time, and uploaded Project Cumorah to Lulu. It mostly went well, though I do have one concern: the bleed on the cover. The documentation says it’s .375″, but the little preview image (I’m using the one-piece cover, by the way) has green bars showing that it’ll clip at .25″. I’m going with .25″ (which is also what the Lulu guy on the live chat thing recommended), and hopefully the text will turn out centered.

Two other small gripes: the Set License button was really hard to find, thus the two extra revisions of the book (I didn’t want a standard copyright license). Oh well. Also, blue background on the cover preview was far more saturated than the PDF I sent, but hopefully it won’t actually turn out that way. (If it does, though, I suppose it’s not the end of the world. We’ll see.)

The final book comes out at 712 pages, which is $18.80 on Lulu (with no royalties or commission). I ordered a copy via Postal Priority ($11.94 shipping, for a total of $30.74), but you’ll be able to order it with regular USPS shipping for $3.64, for a total of $22.44. Based on 3-5 days for printing and 2-3 days for shipping, I should have it sometime between Wednesday of next week and Monday of the following. ~fingers crossed~

Now I need to resist the temptation to start typesetting Phantastes, if only because I have a few other mini-projects to finish first (logo designs, art book submissions, etc.).
