Music of the night

The midterms are over. Phew. But, in the nature of spring term, I have a 10-page research paper due Thursday. Someday it will be over, someday… :)

In the meantime, I’ve got a handful of posts I want/need to write, but not much time. Not to mention all the e-mails I need to respond to… Let’s see, what’s a short topic?

Ah, my iPod. Yes, my iPod, lying dead in its shiny white skeleton. It stopped working a week or two ago (the click of death), and I haven’t yet taken it in to get it fixed. It’s been interesting, figuring out how to live without it. I’m serious. :) And that precisely is what gave me pause.

Do I really need a constant flow of music in my ears all day long?

Probably not. Sure, it’s nice, but people have gotten along without iPods for thousands of years. So can I.

Does this mean I’ll sell my iPod? No, because I do like music, and I don’t have a CD player or radio or anything else. But when I get it fixed, I’ll pay more attention to this iPod addiction, making sure I get some silence in as well.

I’m going to see Sarah, Plain and Tall tonight.

Hmm, this is an interesting post, with lots of short paragraphs. I don’t usually do that. Is this a result of my current frame of mind? Maybe. Maybe not. :)
