Penny pinching

I can’t save money worth beans. The desire is there, but whatever external constraints I need to help me actually do it are not there. A deep look into my psyche reveals that if I keep track of my money, saving will be easier. I’ve got to get just a little obsessive-compulsive, enough to actually manage my money well. So, I figure that the best way to keep track of my money is to write a little app to do it (and then I get the added benefit of more experience coding Cocoa to boot). It’ll be called Penny Pincher and the main idea will be psychological encouragement for me to save money. :) I won’t need any custom controls, so coding should be pretty quick. I am considering writing it in PyObjC (Python), because of Objective-C’s memory management stuff, but we’ll see. Learning a whole new language vs. learning the differences between Objective-C and C. Hmm…
