I miss coding…

Not that it’s been very long, but all this work on Translating Scripture has got me missing programming in a big way. But it’s okay, because the book will go to press this week and then it’ll be time to write Penny Pincher and Beyond and finish reading all those great Paul Graham essays. (Right now I’m in the middle of “Revenge of the Nerds” and “Beating the Averages.”)

Oh, in designing Beyond, I’m wondering if I should read through all the Apple developer docs first — stuff like the internationalization/localization issues would be good to know beforehand, for example. And it sure wouldn’t hurt to be aware of tools like the Quartz Composer that will make the job a lot easier. So, I think I’ll skim through all the Apple docs first, to get a nice overview of what’s available and what things I need to take into consideration, not only for Beyond but for all future Mac apps that I write. And I need to take a closer look at PyObjC, too…
